Associations oppose Labor nominee Six trade groups, led by the International Franchise Association, are opposing President Obama's choice to head the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Department.In a letter to U.S. Senators recently, the groups said David Weil's writings, advocacy positions and lack of job experience outside academia render him unable to be an impartial administrator of the department. The associations say Weil is an employee advocate with a bias against employers. The letter was addressed to Sens.
